Wine Review: This ruby colored Merlot based blend from Troplong Mondot opens with a shy blueberry and plum bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is beautifully balanced, smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a black plum and tobacco blend with notes of graphite and oolong tea. We also detected hints of oak and black cherry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined dusty tannins stick around for quite some time. We would pair this Right Bank blend with a porterhouse steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
