Wine Review: This clear and white gold colored Chardonnay from Kobler opens with an oak and Bartlett pear bouquet with hints of butterscotch, pineapple, and honeysuckle. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and rich. The flavor profile is an oak influenced poached pear and grilled pineapple blend with notes of chalky minerality and cashew. We also detected hints of butterscotch, white pepper, and ginger.
