Wine Review: This clear and pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Dog Bone opens with a mild yellow grapefruit and faint honeydew bouquet with hints of asparagus, white florals, and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, clean, and a little zesty. The flavor profile is a gooseberry and asparagus blend with notes of cucumber and light lime. We also detected hints of tonic water and white pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. We would pair this easy to drink Sauvignon Blanc with stuffed peppers or with a chicken and shrimp paella. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Interview Series – Brian Pruett – Dry Creek Vineyard – Feb 2026

On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, we interviewed Brian Pruett. Brian is the winemaker at Dry Creek Vineyard. We covered eight wines during the visit. We started with Chenin Blanc and a single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc, both from the 2024 vintage. Then we tried three single-vineyard and one historic-field-blend Zinfandel from the 2022 vintage. As you will recall, we really liked 2022 as a Zinfandel vintage. Finally, we wrapped up with their 2021 Red Blend and their flagship Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2022 vintage. It was a great tasting and a lot of fun. In this post, you can learn what we learned about Brian and the history of the winery and read our reviews of all of these impressive wines. Winemaker Interview Series – Julien Howsepian – Kosta Browne – Feb 2026

On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, we interviewed Julien Howsepian. Julien is the winemaker at Kosta Browne Winery. We covered nine wines during our visit. We started with a 2023 vintage Chardonnay. Then we tried two AVA focused Pinot Noir from 2023 and followed that up with two single vineyard 2023 Pinot Noirs. We concluded the tasting with a mini-vertical of 2022 and 2023 vintage Pinots from Volnay and Beaune. It was a terrific and very interesting portfolio tasting. In this post, you can learn what we learned about Julien, the history of Kosta Browne and read our reviews of all of these impressive wines. Read This Blog Post
