Wine Review: This hazy and deep ruby colored Zinfandel from Once & Future opens with an inviting blueberry and pine resin bouquet with hints of black plum and anise. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, dusty, bright, and fresh. The flavor profile is a blueberry and cedar blend with notes of black pepper and cinnamon. We also detected hints of red currant, mint, and red plum. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well managed slightly sticky tannins linger nicely. We would pair this Zin with lamb lollipops. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Interview Series – Brian Pruett – Dry Creek Vineyard – Feb 2026

On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, we interviewed Brian Pruett. Brian is the winemaker at Dry Creek Vineyard. We covered eight wines during the visit. We started with Chenin Blanc and a single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc, both from the 2024 vintage. Then we tried three single-vineyard and one historic-field-blend Zinfandel from the 2022 vintage. As you will recall, we really liked 2022 as a Zinfandel vintage. Finally, we wrapped up with their 2021 Red Blend and their flagship Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2022 vintage. Winemaker Interview Series – Julien Howsepian – Kosta Browne – Feb 2026

On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, we interviewed Julien Howsepian. Julien is the winemaker at Kosta Browne Winery. We covered nine wines during our visit. We started with a 2023 vintage Chardonnay.
