Wine Review: This clear and light golden yellow colored Fiano and Chenin Blanc based blend from Gros Ventre opens with an apricot and orange zest bouquet with hints of honey and almond. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, lush, and viscous. The flavor profile is a Bosc pear and hazelnut blend with notes of honey and toasted almond. I also detected hints of green apple, stony minerality and nectarine pit. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity slowly glide away. I would pair this white blend with a pan-seared walleye. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: This annual blend is one of our favorite whites for spring, with just the right amount of acidity and body to be enjoyable during both warm afternoons and cool evenings. The 2024 vintage blends Chenin Blanc, Fiano, and Vermentino from high-elevation and coastal vineyards, a mix that balances freshness, minerality, and complexity. The Fiano gets a little more attention at 43% of the blend, sourced from two sites, it contributes texture, aromatics, and acidity to the final blend. Aged on lees in neutral oak and stainless steel, it’s bright and layered, with citrus, stone fruit, and high elevation energy.
