Wine Review: This clear and light garnet colored Pinot Noir from Risk opens with a cranberry and red raspberry bouquet with hints of light loam, cola, and wild strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, silky, and zesty. The flavor profile is a blend of stony minerality and plum with notes of black raspberry and milk chocolate. We also detected hints of cherry and cranberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. We would pair this approachable Pinot with a grilled mahi-mahi sandwich or with a pilgrim sandwich. Enjoy - Ken & Mark (This wine is available directly from the winery.)
