Wine Review: This pitch-black colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Robert Foley opens with a black cherry and blueberry bouquet with hints of dark chocolate, wet granite, and black coffee. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is very well-balanced, super smooth, seamless, plush, and generous. The flavor profile is a blackberry and graphite blend with notes of blueberry and muddled mint. We also detected hints of cherry-cola, toasted oak, clove, and black tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed moderate tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Cab with a porterhouse steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Black cherry jubilee! Perfectly ripe mountain fruit in a beautifully extracted and structured mid-palate balance seamlessly with natural mountain acidity. Very full and expressive, the finish resolves with gentle yet ample tannins, again, wonderfully balanced. Enjoyable in its youth, this one will go for decades! The best of the best, Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is a true Cabernet-lover’s treasure that will continue to bottle age gracefully for many years.
