Wine Review: This dry, pale salmon colored sparkling wine from California displays many streams of small bubbles in the glass. It starts out with aromas of strawberry, bread dough, Bosc pear, vanilla creme, wet slate and tangerine. There is a mouth filling mousse on the palate with medium-minus body and medium-plus acidity. It is fresh, clean, and slightly creamy. There are flavors of Golden Delicious apples, tangerine, sourdough bread, red raspberry, and a note of vanilla caramel, The finish is refreshing and long. Serve this crowd-pleasing bubbly from the team at Scharffenberger Cellars with gruyere cheese puffs. - Mark

Winemaker Notes: Fresh notes of summer strawberry, raspberry sorbet and grilled peaches with cream emanate from the glass. The palate is refreshing with hints of berries, strawberry shortcake, toasted almond and a squeeze of citrus. Sleek bubbles lend a sense of creaminess in the finish. This rosé embodies a beautiful blend of fruitiness and refinement.
