Wine Review: This clear and light coral colored Rosé made from 100% Aleatico grapes in California is very good. Aleatico is a rare red Italian wine grape variety. It is notable for being the primary grape in the cult wine Aleatico di Portoferraio made in Elba. In Chile is known as Red Moscatel. This Rosé offering from Serres Ranch opens with a maraschino cherry and grenadine bouquet with hints of lime, rose petals, and sea breeze. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, bright, fresh, and viscous. The flavor profile is a stony minerality, lime, and watermelon blend with notes of saline, white pepper and white peach. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are pleasantly refreshing. I would pair this Rosé with Nova Scotia steamed mussels. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Brimming with fresh acidity, red berry flavors, rose petals, honeysuckle and a hint of minerality, this bright wine is a great match for a long, lazy spring lunch, Easter brunch, or a sip on the patio. Pair with burrata, grilled vegetables, fatty fish, or fried chicken.
