Wine Review: This slightly hazy and medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Amici opens with a black raspberry, black tea, and black pepper bouquet with hints of marionberry, nutmeg, and tobacco leaf. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, super smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a ripe black cherry and tobacco blend with notes of black pepper and dark chocolate. We also detected hints of stewed black plum, anise, and strong dark coffee. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined medium tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Pinot with the Silver Palate’s chicken marbella. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Made from grapes of premier vineyards in Russian River Valley, the Amici Cellars Pinot Noir Reserve showcases the classic Russian River characteristics of heady aromas, vibrant cherry fruit flavors and delicate tannins. A true beauty of a wine, it is delicious on release but will age well for 5-7 years. Captivating aromas of lavender, rose petal, Bing cherry, cherry cordial, and a touch of clove create a floral and inviting bouquet. On the palate, soft, ripe tannins are framed by bright acidity, offering a supple yet energetic mouthfeel. Flavors of juicy cherry and cherry cordial are complemented by subtle notes of baker’s chocolate, adding depth and richness.
