Wine Review: This luscious, slightly off-dry German Riesling from the Pfalz region is a pale golden yellow color with aromas that include fresh apricot, wet slate, lemon peel and honeysuckle. Medium bodied with medium-plus acidity on the palate. It is zippy, balanced, fresh, clean, and broadly appealing. There are flavors of ripe yellow peach, ginger, lemon zest, river stone minerality with hints of apricot and green apple. The finish is palate cleansing and long. Serve chilled with apricot glazed pork roast. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: This classic, off-dry Pfalz Riesling is sourced from vineyards throughout the region and reflects the fresh and balanced style that all Villa Wolf wines strive to achieve. It beautifully captures the peachy fruit and stony structure that are characteristic of Rieslings grown in the sandy loam soils and warm, sunny climate of the Pfalz. Refreshing and delicious on its own, it also pairs well with cheeses and savory dishes involving chicken or pork.
