Wine Review: This clear and pale straw-colored Chenin Blanc from Charles Krug opens with a Anjou pear and white floral bouquet with hints of ginger. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, polished, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a chalky minerality and gentle lime blend with notes of green tea with lemon and green apple. I also detected hints of ginger. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity subtly fade away. I would pair this Chenin with Ritz Cracker crusted baked cod. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: A modern revival of a classic from our new estate vineyard plantings, this Chenin Blanc is a blend of two carefully selected clones. The grapes were pressed into a mix of cement eggs, stainless barrels, and small tanks. Delicate aromas of lemongrass, pear, and honey are complemented by floral hints of honeysuckle, lemon blossom, and a whisper of jasmine and honeydew melon. On the palate, vibrant acidity is balanced by a rounded, soft body, revealing flavors of Meyer lemon and zesty lemon peel, culminating in a long, elegant finish.
