Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Beringer opens with a red currant and boysenberry bouquet with hints of cedar and craisin. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and savory. The flavor profile is a red currant and stony minerality blend with notes of craisin. I also detected hints of spiced red plum and cedar. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins linger nicely. I would pair this Cabernet Sauvignon with grilled Colorado lamb chops. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: This vintage offers bold layers of blackcurrant, plum, and boysenberry, accented by dark chocolate, sage, and hints of tobacco and spice. A warm growing season brought richness, while bright acidity and fine tannins deliver balance and a long, structured finish. Approachable now, with aging potential.
