Wine Review: This clear and medium red colored Primitivo from Seawolf opens with a gentle loganberry and boysenberry bouquet with hints of cranberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, silky smooth, and a little zesty. The flavor profile is a red plum and white pepper blend with notes of stony minerality and cranberry. We also detected hints of cedar, loganberry, and anise. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and mild polished tannins drift away nicely. This wine benefits from some aeration. After a brief decant, we would pair this easy drinking Primitivo with braised pork with plums. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Purple in color. Savory nose of red and black fruits, plums, and pepper. Medium body with ample acidity. Lush and fruit forward. Black cherry, blackberry, nectarine, and pepper on the palate. The finish is long and spicy. Appealing wine that will fare well with hearty foods. Available at the winery.
