Wine Review: This inky purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Whitehall Lane is called “One of Five.” It opens with a cassis and chocolate bouquet with hints of toasted coconut, fig, and toffee. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated refined acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, super smooth, plush, and seamless. The flavor profile is a cassis and blueberry blend with notes of black licorice and mild graphite. We also detected hints of oak, gentle tobacco, coconut milk and toasted oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined gentle polished tannins fade away nicely. We would pair this delicate Cab with a grilled Snake River Farms filet mignon. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This 2023 I de V New Era wine shows to be in perfect balance and creates a completely different sensory experience. On the nose, this wine offers rich, chocolate covered cherries coupled with fresh blueberries, dried figs, cinnamon, Madagascar vanilla beans, coffee, and a hint of sage. The mid-palate exhibits velvety tannins in texture while offering Bing cherries, fresh raspberries, red currants, cacao, Macadamia nuts, fresh baked scones and a touch of graphite that leads to a long-lasting finish. This offering is enjoyable today but will also evolve with cellar aging through 2042.
