Wine Review: This clear and pale purple colored Chianti Classico Riserva from Nozzole opens with a strawberry and balsamic glaze bouquet with hints of thyme and acai berries. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and dense. The flavor profile is a slightly tart black cherry and oolong tea blend with notes of stony minerality and black raspberry. I also detected hints of oak, licorice, and acai berry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and moderate tannins show nice length. I would pair this Sangiovese with Grandma’s Lasagna. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Ruby red colored. It opens with woody smells perfectly balanced with ripe red fruits, balsamic notes, and bitter orange; pleasantly balsamic with sensations of balm, incense, and herbal tea; long vanilla and chocolate finish. This wine pairs very well with all types of meats, fowl, and cheeses.
