Wine Review: This clear and white gold colored Chardonnay from William Cole is excellent! It opens with a pear and cantaloupe bouquet with hints of pineapple, oak, lemon, and a touch of rose blossom. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, smooth, and fresh. The flavor profile is a pineapple and gentle oak blend with notes of cantaloupe and lemon. We also detected hints of banana, crushed stone, almond, and star fruit. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. We would pair this impressive Chardonnay with a chilled crab cocktail or with a crab and corn chowder. Enjoy - KWGTP
