Wine Review: This opaque and medium to deep purple colored Syrah from V. Sattui opens with a blackberry and dried coconut flake bouquet with hints of menthol, plump raisin, and black licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and very fruit forward with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, mouthwatering, and juicy. The flavor profile is an extracted blackberry and black licorice jellybean blend with notes of clove and Fig Newton. I also detected hints of menthol and black cherry-cola. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and mild tannins linger nicely. This Syrah is for fruit bomb fans. I would pair it with a messy rack of Memphis ribs. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Deep, dark, and undeniably seductive, this estate-grown Napa Valley Syrah draws you in with aromas of ripe raspberry, graphite, and cracked black pepper. The palate unfolds with layers of black currant, cherry, cocoa, and dark chocolate, wrapped in a plush texture and polished tannins. Crafted from four Syrah clones grown across our estate vineyards in St. Helena, Yountville, and Mt. Veeder, the wine delivers remarkable depth, structure, and a long, compelling finish.
