Wine Review: This mouthwatering Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley is clear, medium ruby colored, and has aromas of marionberry, red raspberry, wet stone, and cracked pepper. It is medium bodied with medium-plus acidity. The mouthfeel is juicy, bright, pure, and balanced. There are flavors of red raspberry, blackberry, green tea, and cedar with hints of blueberry and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its polished tannins linger for a while. Serve this very good Pinot with slow cooked pulled pork shoulder. – Mark

Winemaker Notes: Our "Limited" Russian River Pinot Noir offers bright aromas of blue fruit and hibiscus flowers. On the palate, juicy blueberries, and ripe pomegranate, with subtle undertones of oak spice and nutmeg. Its soft, rounded mouthfeel is supported on the finish by lithe, playful tannins. Enjoy this versatile Pinot noir with duck confit, stroganoff, or a Mediterranean mezze plate.

Winemaker Interview Series – Stephen Cruzan of Lasseter – April 2026

On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, we had the opportunity to interview Stephen Cruzan again. However, this time Stephen is at a new winery. We interviewed Stephen in July of 2023 when he was the winemaker at Titus. Now Stephen is the winemaker for Lasseter. During the interview we covered three white wines. A 2023 Sauvignon Blanc, a 2023 Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon blend, and a 2023 Chardonnay. On the red side we covered a 2021 Merlot, a 2023 Malbec, a 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, and finally their 2021 and 2023 Syrah’s from Moon Mountain. On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, we interviewed Melissa Stackhouse once again. Melissa is the Winemaker at Dutton Goldfield.
