Wine Review: This clear and deep salmon colored Rosé from Chateau La Nerthe in Tavel, France is very friendly. It opens with a red currant bouquet with hints of watermelon rind. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and approachable. The flavor profile is a plum and stone dust blend with notes of dried herbs and mild watermelon tea. I also detected hints of nectarine. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. I would pair this easy to drink and food friendly Rosé cool, but not cold with fish tacos. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A bright cherry pink, this Tavel rosé offers aromas of juicy red berries and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is generous, intense, and beautifully balanced with a long and elegant finish. Pair with seared tuna or eggplant dishes.
