Wine Review: This clear and medium purple colored Cabernet Franc from Boundary Breaks opens with a Ticonderoga pencil shavings and raspberry bouquet with hints of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is smooth, bright and a bit zesty. The flavor profile is a black raspberry and graphite blend with notes of dark chocolate and black cherry. We also detected hints of clay, yellow bell pepper, and black plum. The finish is dry, and its flavors, bright acidity, and medium sticky tannins linger and last for a while. We would pair this Cab Franc with marinated grilled hanger steak or Korean barbecue ribs. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The goal for our Cabernet Franc is to create a wine that shows the distinctive, fruit-and-earth character of Cabernet Franc, balanced with the soft, round quality of Merlot and fruit of Cabernet Sauvignon. The result is a food-friendly red wine that falls between the earthiness of French Cab Francs and fruit-driven California Cab Francs. Drink today or age for seven-ten years.
