Wine Review: This clear and red colored Zinfandel from V. Sattui opens with a raspberry and red plum bouquet with hints of cigar box and bread dough. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright, and vibrant. The flavor profile is a red cherry and red plum blend with notes of strawberry and chocolate. We also detected hints of craisin and cedar. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins stick around for a bit. We would pair this Zinfandel with a tangy pulled pork sandwich or with a bacon and blue cheese Smashburger.
