Wine Review: This clear and light straw-colored Riesling from Trestle Thirty-One in the Finger Lakes opens with an apricot and lime bouquet with hints of ginger and pear. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated fresh acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mild white peach and lime blend with notes of paraffin wax and bartlett pear. I also detected hints of ginger, tangerine, and a bit white pepper at the very end. The finish is off-dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. I would pair this Riesling with pork schnitzel with a warm pear chutney. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The long fall season dried out a bit to make the vintage a very classic style with bright acidity and cool climate fruit flavors.
