Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Franc based wine from Biserno opens with a wet stone and craisin bouquet with hints of violets and raspberry compote. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, and seamless. The flavor profile is a black raspberry tea and gentle craisin blend with notes of green olive and tobacco. I also detected hints of oak, vanilla, and a touch of black cherry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and mild fine tannins are nicely resolved. I would pair this food friendly Italian red blend with veal scaloppine in creamy tomato sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: Bright, intense ruby red.
Nose: Aromas of dark fruit and spices, with typical hints of Mediterranean scrub and subtle toasted notes.
Taste: Full-bodied, enveloping, and fresh, with soft tannins and long persistence. Excellent aging potential.
