Wine Review: This is not your typical Aussie fruit bomb Shiraz. Instead it is a controlled, versatile, and food friendly red. It is bright dark ruby in color. It opens with a mild black cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is balanced, soft, and easy drinking with light cherry flavors and spice notes mixed in. The finish is quite dry and its managed dusty tannins are quite extended. This wine would go well with meat based lasagna or baked ziti. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Shiraz from our Mount Barker vineyard has produced a very classical style of wine that displays cool climate Shiraz. Notes of strawberries and other red berries with white pepper finishing with soft fine tannins. The style is unique to the region and arguably is closer to the styles of the old world shiraz regions than to elsewhere in Australia.
