Wine Review: This dark garnet colored Sangiovese based wine from Antinori opens with a cherry and tobacco leaf bouquet with hints of oregano and faint plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with nicely integrated refined acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced and super smooth. The flavor profile is a fine tobacco and stone dust blend with notes of black currant and cedar. We also detected hints of faint cherry and nutmeg. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and its refined tannins are quite polished and drift away nicely. We would pair this red blend with a filet mignon at your favorite steak house. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Tignanello 2021 is ruby red with intense purple hues. The nose is complex: notes of ripe plums, blackberries and candied orange peels lead to pleasant hints of dark chocolate, caramel, and licorice. Sweet hints of tobacco complete the impressive bouquet. The palate is rich, sophisticated, intense and is defined by supple vibrant tannins followed by a long persistent finish.
