Wine Review: This clear and dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based red blend opens with a cassis and black cherry bouquet with hints of green tea and black pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with zippy acidity. The mouthfeel is smooth, delicate, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is red plum and cassis blend with notes of black pepper and dried herbs. We also detected hints of blueberry, stone dust, and cedar. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and its fine dusty tannins drift away nicely. We would swirl this wine in the near term and then pair this Napa red blend with marinated grilled steak tips. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The fanciful name Beautour means “beautiful journey,” harkening back to our founder Georges de Latour's fateful first visit to Napa Valley. This Reserve, Bordeaux-style red blend sourced fruit from Napa’s premier mountain and valley-floor vineyards. It features Cabernet Sauvignon from Hewitt Vineyard in Rutherford, Cabernet Franc from Steinhauer Ranch on Howell Mountain, as well as Merlot and Petit Verdot from a premier vineyard location in Yountville. The resulting wine has a brilliant ruby hue and cherry, cassis, and black licorice aromas that rise from the glass with the warmth of a sandalwood. The palate features dark chocolate-covered blueberry, boysenberry, and ripe plum juiciness, buoyed by an undercurrent of white tea freshness. Bright and upbeat, this medium-bodied, richly textured red blend expresses a satisfying, sweet and peppery, gingerbread spice character on its finish. Eminently approachable now, it can be aged 5 to 7 years.
