Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon blend opens with a boysenberry and black currant bouquet with a hint of black licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, fruit forward and savory. The flavor profile is an oak influenced black currant and pomegranate blend with notes of beef stick. I also detected hints of anise and black tea mixed in. The finish is rather dry and its very sticky tannins last for quite a while. I would decant this wine and serve it with tender grilled beef sirloin tips. Enjoy - Ken
