Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Beringer opens with a ripe Bosc pear and light oak bouquet with hints of banana and honeydew melon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. It has rounded edges and is a little bit juicy. The flavor profile is an oak influenced pineapple and banana blend with notes of apricot tart and holiday spices. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This Chard would pair nicely with a chicken and wild mushroom ravioli in a light butter cream sauce. Enjoy - Ken
