Wine Review: This shiny clear hay colored Chardonnay from Beringer opens with a baked Bosc pear and mild pineapple bouquet with hints of almond, banana taffy, and light oak. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is mild poached pear and spice blend with notes of light oak and cashew. We also detected hints of butterscotch, almond and tart green apple. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely before drifting away. We would pair this Chard with baked rainbow trout with garlic butter or with steamed mussels. Enjoy - Ken & Mark
