Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Canvasback opens with a mild black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty black currant with notes of vanilla oak and black olive. I also detected hints of blueberry at the very end as well. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and moderate tannins drift away nicely. This Cabernet is food friendly and it would pair well with pan-roasted veal chops. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Robust and alluring, this gorgeous expression of Red Mountain Cabernet offers a medley of blue plum, black cherry and red berry aromas, along with notes of black licorice, cardamom, clove and sandalwood. On the palate, a creamy entry and ripe, fine-grained tannins build to a richly polished mid-palate, where luxurious layers of fruit mingle with hints of hazelnut, nutmeg, and baking spices.
