Wine Review: The 2014 Chaman Cabernet Franc has a fresh floral bouquet that is earthy and also adds nice ripe berries and green bell peppers. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with blackberries, black pepper, spice with hints of vegetation, acidity and minerelity. The blend of 85% Cabernet Franc and 15% Malbec provides a well-balanced and structured wine with a nice dry fruity finish. This wine would go great with a juicy burger topped with bacon and Gorgonzola cheese. Enjoy – Joe
Winemaker Notes: Plush, elegant, and floral. Aromas of roses and pepper make the wine both bright and earthy at the same time. These flavors continue onto the palate, joined by red fruits, sour cherries, and dried sage. Savory and elegant but also dry, long and supple. Try this wine with green olives, chicken mole, or pork marinated with fresh rosemary.
