Wine Review: This dark red colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Crossbarn opens with a cranberry-orange tea and ripe black cherry bouquet with hints of vanilla. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and fresh. The flavor profile is juicy plum and marionberry blend with notes of cedar and Dr. Pepper. We also detected hints of graphite and tangerine. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins linger nicely. We would pair this Cab with a grilled pork chop. Enjoy - Ken & Mark
Winemaker Notes: This wine delights with a strikingly dynamic deep crimson hue. On the nose it reveals enticing aromas of black and red currants, complemented by subtle floral undertones. Rich layers of berry compote and cassis unfold on the palate, gradually giving way to earthy hints of leather and cigar box. A firm mineral-like backbone combined with a smooth, polished texture creates tension, while its well-defined structure and refined tannins enhance the wine’s complexity, all culminating in a lingering finish.
