Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from DAOU opens with a black currant bouquet with hints of smoke and green pepper. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and velvety. The flavor profile is a tasty mild black currant with notes of blackberry and black cherry. We also detected hints of vanilla-cola and coffee mixed in. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. The Panel suggested pairing this Cab with a grilled leg of lamb or duck breast. Enjoy- KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This Cabernet Sauvignon reflects the true character of the 2017 vintage. It is a full-bodied wine that is highly concentrated yet still offers aromas of chocolate, plum, black fruit and hints of a cigar box. Reflecting the beauty of the vintage, the combination of flesh and fat make this wine rich and voluptuous.
