Wine Review: This slightly opaque and very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a black currant and charred cedar bouquet with hints of blueberry, dark chocolate and eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced, polished and opulent. The flavor profile is a mocha influenced black currant and blueberry blend with notes of fig. We also detected hints of blackberry, graphite and black tea. The finish is dry and its flavors and resolved dry tannins are nicely extended. The Panel thought this was a Cab that they certainly could enjoy on its own. With food they suggested pairing it with braised lamb shanks or beef wellington. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2018 vintage shows characteristics that are rich and sophisticated on the nose with currant, black cherry, cedar and eucalyptus. Excellent structure and harmony between the pure fruit core and firm, supple backbone of polished tannins. Finish is surprisingly elegant for a wine of such power. Silky and smooth, ending on lovely notes of sweet cherry and boysenberry.
