Wine Review: This opaque and deep purple colored Malbec based blend opens with a black raspberry and pomegranate bouquet with hint of pipe tobacco, violets, and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is soft, round, fresh, and nicely balanced. The flavor profile fine mineral and gentle blackberry blend with notes of black cherry and cocoa powder. We also detected hints of black tea and spice mixed in. The finish is dry and its refined tannins build-up and then drift away nicely. The Panel would pair this red blend with Roy's rib roast. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2019 DAOU Estate Cuvée Lizzy is a signature Bordeaux-style blend from winemaker Daniel Daou. This wine bursts from the glass with a floral bouquet of lilac, violet and cigar box. A full-bodied palate displays phenomenal texture and impressive fruit quality, revealing deep flavors of blackberry, blueberry and black currant. The entire experience is seamless through the finish, backed by a fine structure that will enable the wine to age beautifully in the bottle.
