Wine Review: This deep purple colored Cab and Merlot blend opens with a very fragrant boysenberry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of earthy peat. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, silky, smooth, and bright for a rich red. The flavor profile is a mulberry and juicy red plum blend with notes fine crushed minerality and boysenberry. We also detected some hints of blackberry and black tea in the mix. The finish is dry, and its dusty fine tannins linger and last for a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this rich styled red blend with duck confit. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Micho is our signature marriage of two iconic Bordeaux varieties, showcasing the elegance, freshness and concentration that can only be attained on DAOU Mountain. With the highest phenolics this blend has seen, the 2019 vintage is one for the ages. A deep, ruby purple hue foreshadows an enchanting floral character that transports the nose to a different dimension. The wine explodes from the glass with flavors of boysenberry, blackberry, dark chocolate, and dried herbs, maintaining beautiful minerality and balance while exhibiting flawless structure. The finish is long, lingering and perfectly poised to the end.
