Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chardonnay opens with a mild pear and pineapple bouquet with hints of butter popcorn. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with light acidity. The mouthfeel is round and friendly. The flavor profile is an oak influenced Granny Smith apple turnover with notes of Anjou pear. I also detected hints of caramel and gentle stony minerality towards the end. The finish fades away nicely. Fans of this rich style of Chard would enjoy sipping it with friends at a social gathering.
