Wine Review: This light gold colored Chardonnay from California opens with an Anjou pear and apple skin bouquet with hints of pineapple and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and fresh for a Chard. The flavor profile is a chamomile tea and Anjou pear blend with notes of pineapple and oak. I also detected hints of lemon verbena, vanilla, and white pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely prolonged. I would pair this Chard with corn chowder. Enjoy – Ken
