Wine Review: This bold California Pinot Noir is a clear medium ruby color with very savory aromas of mushrooms, smoked ham, forest floor, and black currant. On the palate, this wine is medium-plus bodied with medium acidity, and a silky mouthfeel. It features ripe fruit flavors of marionberry, concentrated coffee, loam, cedar, and mushroom duxelles with notes of cranberry and baking spice. The finish shows round tannins, with lingering ripe fruit, and a bit of heat at the very end. This Pinot benefits from a little bit of aeration. Then serve with char-grilled lamb kabobs. - Mark
