Wine Review: This very dark garnet colored wine opens with a mild, yet pleasant black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, juicy and round. The flavor profile is predominately black raspberry with notes of gentle minerality. I also detected hints of black plum, black pepper, old oak and tea. The finish is dry and its mild tannins make it quite friendly. This good value wine would pair well with shepherd’s pie. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The Domaine de Nizas 2014 Le Clos has aromas of blackberries, Mediterranean herbs, and spices. This is an elegant wine with soft tannins and notes of spice and cherry on the palate, followed by a long finish. Its richness and complexity pair well with spicy and savory dishes.
