Wine Review: This clear dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Goldeneye is excellent! It opens with a black raspberry and oak bouquet with hints of boysenberry and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and polished. The flavor profile is black cherry and all spice blend with notes of black raspberry and spice black plum. We also detected hints of boysenberry, cedar, and a touch of RC Cola at the very end. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins linger and last for a while. The Panel thought this Pinot would be a very nice sipper. With food we would pair it with lamb lollipops or with grilled salmon. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Displaying heady aromas of blueberry, pennyroyal, sage and baking spices, this smooth and sultry wine beckons a first sip. On the palate it is rich and expansive, with velvety tannins and voluptuous flavors of ripe blackberry, purple plum and red iron minerality building to a long, dramatic finish.
