Wine Review: This clear and darkish red colored Pinot Noir from Goldeneye opens with a teaberry gum and red raspberry blend bouquet with hints of mild cedar and red beet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is spiced black plum and graphite blend with notes of teaberry gum and cedar. I also detected hints of triple sec and wild strawberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins are nicely sustained for a Pinot. I would pair this Pinot with classic duck a l'orange. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A quintessential Anderson Valley Pinot Noir, this wine is crafted to celebrate the region’s defined character, boasting aromas of penny royal, ripe cherry and subtle hints of chanterelle mushrooms. On the palate, it offers a beautifully balanced experience with smooth tannins and refreshing acidity alongside flavors of blackberry, leather, and breakfast tea. A reflection of its depth and complexity, it slowly departs with a long, lingering finish.
