Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet based wine from Kanonkop opens with a mild cedar and red plum bouquet with a hint of strawberry licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and round. The flavor profile is a mild cedar influenced red plum and red currant blend with notes of black tea and gentle graphite. The finish delivers mild tannins that are nicely sustained yet are food friendly. This South African blend would pair perfectly with the grilled wild boar tenderloin from Jiko at Disney's Animal Kingdom lodge. Enjoy – Ken
