Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Pinot from Merry Edwards is consistently one of my favorites from her portfolio each year. This year the "Coopersmith" delivers again. It opens with an attractive boysenberry bouquet with hints of musty oak and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild black raspberry with some gently integrated smoky oak. The finish is dry and its mild fine tannins are pleasant and linger slightly. This wine would be perfect with pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This gregarious wine entices us from the first sip. It's loaded with masses of dark, mouthwatering bramble fruits, black licorice and its signature cocoa. Highlights of nutmeg, vanilla and cola add to its succulent appeal . On the finely balanced palate, this Pinot has generous, smooth tannins leading to a silky, full mouthfeel and lush finish. If I had a vision of this wine as a cake, it would be a Black Forest Kuchen!
