Wine Review: This very dark garnet colored Pinot Noir from Merry Edwards opens with mild black raspberry bouquet with hints of Morello cherries, plum sauce, and oregano. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a stewed plum and mushroom blend with notes of clove and black tea. I also detected hints of oak and black raspberry towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for a while. This Pinot would be ideal with a roasted pork loin with sage, rosemary, and garlic, Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: This wine's red-to-deep-purple color is a lovely accompaniment to the tantalizing aromas resonating from the glass. Notes of fresh rain, wet stone, spice and oak lift the fruit and floral notes of rose petal and anise on the nose. Big and powerful in the mouth, the wine is loaded with black cherries, black raspberries and root beer. Integrated tannins are ripe and juicy and leave the mouth well-coated through the finish.
