Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Merry Edwards opens with a fragrant black raspberry, pomegranate, and red plum bouquet with a hint of wet stone. On the palate, this wine medium bodied, balanced, soft, round and savory. The flavor profile is an earthy stewed plum with notes of pomegranate and smoky oak. I detected hints of cherry and red bell pepper in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors and medium tannins fade away nicely. This Pinot develops nicely with some aeration, give it a swirl or two and serve it with Italian braciole. Enjoy – Ken
