Wine Review: This clear and pale hay colored Sauvignon Blanc from Merry Edwards is Excellent! It opens with a fragrant yellow grapefruit and lime zest bouquet with hints of asparagus, sea spray, and lily. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is delicate, round, fresh, and zesty. The flavor profile is yellow grapefruit and green apple blend with notes of saline and kumquat. We also detected hints of lime zest, white peach, and white pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and last for a while. We would drink this refined Sauvignon Blanc on its own on a hot summer day. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: We are delighted to introduce our first single-vineyard Sauvignon Blanc, crafted from an outstanding two-acre block at our flagship Meredith Estate. To preserve the integrity of this extraordinary fruit, Winemaker Heidi von der Mehden chose to ferment approximately 30% of the juice in an amphora - a ceramic vessel that allows the wine’s natural vibrancy to shine. The remainder was aged in mostly neutral oak, with meticulous lees stirring to enhance texture and depth. The resulting Sauvignon Blanc bursts from the glass with radiant aromas of pink grapefruit, citrus zest, tart pear, and fragrant honeysuckle and gardenia. Unfolding layers reveal fresh jasmine and subtle minerality. On the palate, it is mouthwatering, with a satin-like texture and crisp, lingering finish.
