Wine Review: This clear pale hay colored Sauvignon Blanc from Merry Edwards is a winner! It opens with a gentle white grapefruit and Grany Smith apple bouquet with hints of passionfruit. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, seamless, and fresh. The flavor profile is a tasty light grapefruit and gentle lime blend with notes of passionfruit and green tea. I also detected hints of vanilla sugar cookie and lemon verbena. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. I would pair this food friendly and versatile Sauvignon Blanc with your favorite Maryland crab cake recipe. Enjoy - Ken
