Wine Review: This clear and golden yellow colored Chardonnay from Merry Edwards opens with a lemon verbena and poached bartlett pear bouquet with hints of light oak and vanilla. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, velvety, mouth coating, and viscous. The flavor profile is an Anjou pear and chalky minerality blend with notes of brioche and lime zest. We also detected a touch of oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors and bright acidity stay with you for a while. We would pair this Chardonnay with grilled halibut or broiled scallops. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Our Anderson Valley Chardonnay is made from a blend of grapes from sites that represent distinct terroir within the valley. The result is a fresh, vibrant, and bright Chardonnay. Our 2024 Anderson Valley Chardonnay offers up a floral and fruity nose filled with pleasing aromatics. Expressive notes of mango, guava, orange blossoms, ginger and key lime pie bring juicy freshness. The clean, round entry is balanced. Highlights on the palate include fresh citrus, brioche, crisp apple skin and persimmon flesh. This food-friendly wine is bright and clean, and offers a zesty, persistent finish.
