Wine Review: This pitch black colored Syrah from Ramey is impressive. It opens with an inviting blueberry bouquet with a hint of oak and blackberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, smooth, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced blackberry jam with notes of blueberry. I also detected hints of espresso, dark chocolate and sweet cherries as it fades away. The finish is dry and subtle. This Syrah is a very nice drinking wine. Enjoy it by the fireplace with your favorite sharp cheese. Enjoy - Ken
