Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored Zinfandel from Ravenswood is very good. It opens with a mild blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty blackberry and blueberry blend with notes of minerality. I also detected hints of dark chocolate, coffee and oak. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins linger and last for quite a long time. This Zin is very food friendly. I would pair it with a New York strip steak. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2015 Teldeschi Vineyard Zinfandel is the quintessential Dry Creek Valley Zin: inky black color, aromas of blue fruits, blackberry, licorice, dark chocolate, and black pepper. The weight and structure are nothing short of extraordinary. The finish is lengthy and enjoyable.
