Wine Review: This clear and pale white gold colored Chardonnay from Rex Hill opens with a mild white peach bouquet with hints of chamomile tea and lemon verbena. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright, and a little zesty. The flavor profile is a Bosc pear and green tea blend with notes of pineapple and lemon verbena. I also detected hints of gentle banana, almond, spice, and very light oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. I would pair this versatile and food friendly Chardonnay with baked cod with a buttery Ritz cracker topping. Enjoy – Ken
